The recent and tragic shooting in Atlanta has brought to the fore, yet again, the serious issue of discrimination and unbridled hatred by fragments of our society towards Asians in America.
We’re proud to integrate the positive power of poker to bring more awareness to this important issue. With that, I am pledging 100% of my poker winning from the month of April for this campaign. Stand with us and pledge an amount or a percentage of your next poker session for this important cause. Speak to your home game runners and ask them to join us and make #pokerforgood.

About the Campaign
2020 was a difficult and at times very cruel year for many, and many Asian Americans Pacific Islanders (AAPI) are unfortunately met with the added stress of dealing with Anti-Asian discrimination and violent crimes. Our friend & poker dealer for example, Mike Lee was a 3 time victim of racist Asian hate crime which included being randomly socked in the jaw on the street immediately after the attackers made hateful racial slur at him.
Violence and discriminatory treatment can happen to anyone at any time. Hate crimes routinely target the most vulnerable of our people and those that don’t have a real voice. In the case of the Asian community, people who don’t even speak English are often targeted. During these challenging times we very much need to support each other and most especially the more disenfranchised people among us including those that have significant language barriers and or those who lack basic or meaningful financial resources.
Launched in response to the rise in hate crimes against AAPIs nationwide, MuralsforGood.org is a nonprofit whose mission is to raise awareness about hate incidents against AAPIs while celebrating AAPI cultures and histories. We also aim to uplift high-density neighborhoods through art that beautifies city blocks and vitalizes local business. Our 2021 target is to enhance New York City with five mural projects.
